Before you run to grab your camcorder, you need to know that the videos entered in this contest must specifically include 13 character traits that you believe bring about true change in our country. And by the way, all videos in the Speak New Words contest must not contain any of those controversial words we've all been hearing about in the media or any violent words and images. (Yeah, you know the ones.)
- You must be 13 or older to enter (no maximum age limit!)
- There are two categories: 13-20, and 20+.
- Participants ages 13-20.
- Participants above the age of 20.
- Entries must be 1 - 4 minutes in length.
- The videos must have ORIGINAL lyrics with a positive message, and these can be set to original music, karaoke or public domain. And remember, with the entries and contest open to minors, any adult material, even with a positive message, should not be submitted or associated with the campaign.
- There are two categories
for entrants: 13-20 and and 20+. Each category has three prizes:
a $5000 first prize, $1000 second prize, and $500 third prize, for a
total of six prizes and $13,000 in prize money.
